It started with two Labs and a pile of destroyed “top-rated” products. Riptide went through three “indestructible” toys in a single afternoon. Redlobster rejected every bed that claimed to be “premium.”
So we stopped trusting the reviews and started testing everything ourselves.
The Lab Tests is a breed-specific gear company for Labrador Retriever owners. We live the Lab life out of Dana Point Harbor — boat days, beach runs, lake swims, muddy paws — and every product we sell has survived it.

Adventurous, fearless, tireless. Riptide destroys “indestructible” toys for breakfast and stress-tests every product for durability, performance, and outdoor readiness. If it survives him, it’s legit.
REDLOBSTER — The Connoisseur • Fox Red Lab
Warm, discerning, comfort-seeking. Redlobster chooses the couch over everything and evaluates every product for comfort, quality, and coziness. If he picks it, it’s premium.
How the Lab Test Works
1. We curate. We scour the market for the highest-rated products specifically designed for large, active breeds — powerful chewing, heavy shedding, love of water, large-breed joints, and insatiable appetites.
2. They test. Riptide stress-tests for durability. Redlobster evaluates comfort and quality. Both must approve. We document the test, share the results, and let you see exactly what happened.
3. Only survivors make the store. Zero tolerance for low-quality products. Most products don’t make it through. We’d rather have 20 great products than 200 mediocre ones.
What We Stand For
